Team Dream 2007
The 6th annual Team Dream Golf Getaway was held a couple weeks ago at the Elk Ridge Resort in northern Saskatchewan near Waskesiu. This was the second time that I have attended this weekend that is filled with golf and all types of shenanigans. Last year I took a quite a few pictures to document the trip, but this year I shot a lot of digital video in its place.
I was able to get quite a bit of footage and have cut together a short film that you can view below. I have also included links to download some higher quality versions of the video that you can find below as well. Enjoy, and I would appreciate any comments that you have.
Note : the film contains a small amount of explicit language.

Very awesome - your opening is great, and I really like the music montages. In the interview scene with goodsy you cut to a b-shot of him putting - this is a good sequence, looks real professional. The dance scene with Travis is real strong too - feels like 2 cameras - nice. During the dinner scene I would have cut to long shots of the table during the cuts of people talking to again give that multiple shot feel, not knowing the footage you had I don’t know if that would work but looking at some of your long shots I think it might have. I am not so sure of your decision to leave your voice asking questions in the film - probably my only complaint.
Looks like your camera performed well - I thought the footage looked nice… even the indoor stuff where I imagine the lighting was low.
Thanks for the comments.
I do like that shot with Goodsy too. Actually I was kind of forced to do that. While I was filming him, Mitch started waving his hand in front of the camera, so I had to do that if I didn’t want the shot to look ridiculous. Same thing with the scene where Travis is explaining the scoring, Kipp stuck his head in front of the camera, and I needed to do a similar edit.
I had very little footage from dinner, so I was limited with what I had to work with.
I had similar thoughts about leaving my voice in during the interviews, but decided to leave it. I like the sound of my voice.
I was happy with the camera as well. The only thing I don’t like about it is (obviously, the no external mic hookup) that using the manual settings is difficult. I like how the lighting turned out at dinner with the two stories as told by Tyler and Jason. A real warm look.
For some reason, the download links don’t work in Internet Explorer, but do in Firefox. Looking into the problem.
It also works fine in Safari.
Great work Naides. Super cool. Thanks for putting in all the time and effort to pull it together.
Thanks Travis. Is that your canned ‘manager’ comment? Ha!
The Internet Explorer downloading problem has been fixed.
Hemant. We, the memebers of The Dream Founding Forefathers appreciate the dedication and commitment shown by each of the participants in the annual Team Dream golf tournament. In this particular instance you have raised the bar significantly by showcasing a niche skillset which allows us to cherish the weekend indefinately. I’m certain I speak for everyone when I acknowledge the fortune with which we were blessed one year ago with our prodigal sons return.
ps. It’s just too bad we couldn’t have found some sluts.
I hope this pays off when my Team yearly review comes up.
Fantastic job Hemant! I grabbed a beverage and some munchies and I enjoyed the show. I will have to tell Mitchy that I saw him in a movie! Keep up the good work!
I thoroughly enjoyed that. Goodsy and the skis was my favourite part.
